H. Unit is a unisex brand founded by designer Hirofumi Matsuda. The company ethos is to fuse the Classical with the Contemporary, utilising traditional Japanese sewing and processing techniques to create modern, accessible clothing for both men & women.
Hailing from the Kuraishi-Kojima area in the Okayama Prefecture, an area known famously for it’s Traditional Japanese Denim, H.Unit often uses Denim in their own unique way while never conforming to the heritage design traditions the fabric is synonymous with.

My day was going great and my soul was at ease.

Artek + Hender Scheme at London
Design Festival is now open.
This is a collaboration between
Japanese leather shoemakers and Finnish birchwood furniture
producers - where making continues in the hands of those who live with the pieces.
A special installation at Vitra
Tramshed’s downstairs gallery space presents the products and explores the aging process that they undergo through everyday living. No two pieces remain the same, the appearance and feel continually evolving over time.
