Coloriage è un laboratorio di sartoria sociale, aperto ad artigiani migranti e inoccupati, un luogo di incontri creativi e di contaminazioni culturali, in cui prendono forma pezzi originali e unici. invited Coloriage to collaborate with John Cabot University’s Department of Art and Design on the AGRITHREADS project, as part of the World Food Forum 2026.

AGRITHREADS is a visionary initiative exploring the development of bio-based materials and textiles made from agricultural waste, while supporting small local communities in low-income countries.

John Cabot students creatively experimented with these materials, while Coloriage students transformed them into garments and accessories: jackets made from pineapple silk, bags made from fish leather and cork-processing waste, and more.

We were truly excited by this project and its rare ability to bring together technological research, textile innovation and the resilience of the communities from which these materials originate.

Upcycling is not a new direction for Coloriage.
It is a practice we have been carrying forward from the very beginning. This year, it becomes a line.

Upcycling has never been more necessary.

Almost half of the clothes produced by the fashion industry each year remain unsold and unworn. The question is: what can we make from them?

Coloriage chooses to open them up.
To deconstruct them. To transform them.
To give them another form, another use, another story.

Vintage blazers, trench coats, denim jackets, fine tailoring shirts — garments already made, coming from different eras and wardrobes — are taken apart, deconstructed and reconstructed into something else.

Not a new collection, but a new way of producing.
Nothing new, but something different.

The pieces featured in the lookbook, available through the link in bio, are made to order. Each one is recreated for you.
