Atelier Bomba was founded in 1980 by the vision of Cristina Bomba.
Atelier Bomba designs fine tailored garments, knitwear and accessories, and offers a bespoke service by appointment. Our atelier and boutique are situated in Rome, on the premises where their foundations were first laid. Here, all magic happens; designs are drafted and cut in limited quantities, giving shape to an evolving non-seasonal collection, as well as one of a kind garments. The Atelier draws from our unique archive of fabrics and materials, collected through years of research or supplied by order to current world leading mills and textile manufacturers, handled and transformed by the expert hands of our tailors. The Atelier Bomba knitwear line is manufactured using noble natural yarns, by workshops of life long collaboration in the Italian cities of Assisi, Novara and Como.
When you reach Via dell’Oca 39, you are likely to meet Cristina Bomba’s daughter and son: Caterina, a trained sculptor and painter, is the sole creative director of the family firm. She works in the atelier with a long standing team to create everything from daywear, coats and overcoats to corsets, gala dresses and gowns. Michele Am, besides overseeing all aspects of the company, is a bespoke handcraft tailor. He accompanies his client personally through the whole process and works on the craft of each piece on his own. Given the rigor of such approach he creates not more than five coats each year. This of course means the waiting list is a rather long one!
Brother and sister are extending their family vision towards a future of refinement and sustainability. They work with craftsman to create beautiful pieces for our lives.
