OLUCE Oluce è, nel campo dell'illuminazione, la più antica azienda italiana di design ancora attiva. La Storia

http://www.oluce.com/storia/

Dancing Glass
Design Victor Vasilev

Dancing Glass embodies the elegance of a sophisticated luminaire technique, where light is transformed into poetry. In the pendant model, presented in the new glass and smoked glass finishes, the horizontal structure skilfully conceals the LED source, giving rise to unprecedented light layouts. The irregular shapes play with shadows and reflections, evoking a moving sculpture. The new variant Dancing Glass Applique, true to the playful essence of the original, is expressed in an understated design where the cylindrical element becomes unique. The use of glass gives a play of light and shadow, celebrating, as the name evokes, the dance of light.

Oluce Inside Out

Alba
design Mariana Pellegrino Soto

The concept of Alba starts with a very simple element: the designer’s imagination was inspired by a drop of water, which she puts to use in different ways, depending on the model. References to the world of nature, with soft shapes contrasted with square lines, together with the use of a satin brass finish and anodic bronze finish, combine to create Alba, a family with a strong visual impact.

Mini Spider
Design Joe Colombo

Lacquered metal base, chromed vertical stem and illuminating
body that reproduces the ancient ‘hammer head’ shape of
the original, readjusted in size. Three elements that combine
technique and aesthetics in a product that is indelible in the
memory. The famous Spider, designed by Joe Colombo, returns
in a Mini table version, re-engineered by Oluce to preserve the
balance and details that made it iconic. New sizes and colours
look to the contemporary: Mini Spider will be available in black,
Scarlet red and blue, for an unexpected touch that captures the eye

Acrilica Limited Edition in Portoro marble

A limited edition of the iconic Acrilica, designed by Joe and Gianni Colombo: the base is crafted in Portoro marble to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary Perspex table lamp. The model, a collaboration between Joe and Gianni, was created in 1962 and originally known simply as 281, later renamed Acrilica, a nod to the lamp’s signature material and the extraordinary way it is used.
The shape and substantial thickness of the curve that forms the 281 allow, through the conductive properties of Perspex, the light of a fluorescent bulb housed inside the lacquered steel base to travel up through the transparent body, illuminating the head of the lamp.

Oluce From The World

Light shaping space.

During Salone del Mobile 2026, a selection of Oluce lamps was featured within the Desalto stand.
Integrated into the architectural language of the space, Francesco Rota, Art Director of Oluce and Desalto, brought the two worlds together through light, selecting iconic pieces such as Atollo, Sonora, Canopy, Spider, and Coupé , highlighting the relationship between contemporary furniture and lighting design, where it becomes an integral part of spatial composition.

Berlin-Out
Design Christophe Pillet

An interweaving of light and form, where innovation and
poetics come together Berlin Applique, transformed with three new dimensions, with its outdoor version illuminates not only exterior spaces but interior ones as well. A slender metal ring frames a honeycomb acrylic disc,
diffusing a gentle, enveloping light. Its sophisticated style retains
unchanged, in contrast to the three new finishes: matt black,
anodic bronze and satin aluminium. Berlin Applique becomes an
invitation to discover poetry in the ordinary, blending tradition and
contemporaneity in a refined balance.

Agnoli 387

Oluce was established in 1945, founded by Giuseppe Ostuni: model 387, that has always been called “Agnoli“, named after its designer Tito Agnoli, was created in 1954 and it is one of the most historic lamps in the catalogue. As a precursor of minimalism, the Agnoli lamp used the “Cornalux” light bulb, capable of directing light in an extremely precise manner, by mounting it on top of a sliding mechanism positioned on a stem. The sophisticated travertine base represents the component that adds a touch of elegance to an object in which simplicity and functionality become elements of pure poetry.

80 ANNI DI OLUCE A MILANO

Today marks the closing day of the exhibition celebrating 80 years of Oluce.

Conceived around the launch of the new Oluce volume, the exhibition grew from the desire to translate the book into a three-dimensional experience, transforming its narratives, archives, and design history into an immersive journey.

More than a retrospective, the project became a reflection on continuity and transformation: a dialogue between past and present, between iconic works and the contemporary vision that projects itself toward the future of the brand.
Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition, joined the conversations, and shared this important moment with us.

Oluce From The World

During Milan Design Week in Milan, the exhibition came to life as a space for dialogue and exchange, bringing together people, ideas, and a shared culture of light and design.

Across the installation, visitors engaged with archives, objects, and narratives that trace Oluce’s evolving identity, opening conversations around its past, present, and future.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us and contributed to this moment.

The exhibition has been extended until May 10.
