Mia nonna Elda aveva quindici anni quando suo padre, Emilio De Marchi, diede inizio alla sua avventura imprenditoriale fondando il Maglificio Sportivo De Marchi.
Ottant’anni dopo, quella stessa storia vive ancora nei valori che ci sono stati tramandati: dedizione, passione, responsabilità.

1946. The Italian Republic is born. De Marchi is born.
My grandmother Elda was fifteen years old when her father, Emilio De Marchi, began his entrepreneurial journey by founding Maglificio Sportivo De Marchi.
Eighty years later, that same story still lives on through the values that have been passed down to us: dedication, passion, and responsibility.
A legacy that we feel both privileged and duty-bound to preserve.

From Our Historical Archives: Pietro Zoppas, 1964

On May 24, 1964, during the 9th stage of the , Pietro Zoppas (born in Scomigo, 5 kms away from our HQ) etched his name into cycling history. Covering a challenging 260 km route from Feltre to Marina di Ravenna, Zoppas, wearing the jersey of the Citè team made from De Marchi, achieved a legendary victory, defeating far more prominent contenders.

The Citè team, an underdog in that year’s edition, found its winning combination in Zoppas’s determination and the superior quality of his gear. The jersey, expertly crafted by De Marchi, embodied not just impeccable style but also pure performance and a deep connection to Italian tradition.

On that day, across the roads of Italy, a proud outsider and a jersey of excellence came together to write a story of passion, dedication, and pride. In our archives, this triumph still shines as a testament to the impact De Marchi has had on the history of cycling.
