TRACING VENICE for De Castelli

In Venice, the traces left by acqua alta reveal a hidden landscape of marks, shades, and imperfections. Beneath our feet, the 12th-century mosaics of St Mark’s Basilica tell a story shaped by time and rising water.
Inspired by their symbolic patterns, our project celebrates the beauty of wear, oxidation, and imperfection - transforming signs of deterioration into a reminder of the importance of preserving this fragile heritage.

Every space has been carefully shaped to balance functionality, materiality, and craftsmanship, creating a refined living environment where custom details and tailored design solutions define the character of the home.

BIGOLI for Botteganove

Bigoli is a tile collection developed through research into colour and surface continuity. The absence of grout lines and glazes applied using a third-firing technique create a rich, layered surface. A handcrafted relief element, inspired by the shape of the bigolo - the traditional Venetian pasta from which the collection takes its name - adds texture and rhythm, subtly breaking the regularity of the pattern.

For ten years, Jack-e has embodied a timeless approach to design, defined by craftsmanship and material quality. Since the launch of this iconic bed, a long-standing collaboration with Bolzan has continued to grow through the brand’s art direction. To mark this milestone, Jack-e is presented in a new slate-coloured natural leather finish, crafted through vegetable tanning processes.

Twinkle draws inspiration from our research into the world of the impiraresse, the artisans who hand-threaded Murano’s tiny glass beads, known as conterie. For centuries, these beads played a central role in trade and cultural exchange, crossing continents and becoming symbols of value, beauty, and tradition. Inspired by the sessola, the screen is shaped around a curved frame that supports delicate suspended strands of beads, free to move lightly through the air in their transparency. Their shimmering vibrations and subtle reflections evoke the motion of sea waves, transforming the memory of a traditional craft into a contemporary piece defined by light, movement, and materiality.
