“Garment wash” it’s considered by fashion designers a special process, unique and eccentric. Especially in these latest seasons. The reason why of this conception is because we forgot that in the past used to wash garments over and over. Therefore garments used to live together with their “owners”, sharing the changes of time together. So now we need to start living again this everyday practice, always remembering that the garment it’s not just a product of industry, it’s something that belongs to us (and under certain points of view, we belong to them), that what we wear changes with us. never stopped to think in this way.
And the result is now proving that market is reconsidering the concept of garment and everyday life. Instead of looking forward, we should keep on looking to the past, to the origins because what we used to be in the past, stays with us and grows with us. What we were it’s what we wear.
