…dopo un’Estate trascorsa ad inseguire nuove idee, sono contenta di tornare su questa piattaforma per farvi vedere le mie nuove creazioni ☺️. Fare la maglia e vedere in cosa si trasformano i semplici gomitoli di lana è, per me, anche un modo per meditare, ma, purtroppo, spesso mi trovo in difficoltà a gestire il tempo (sempre meno!) e non riesco ad essere “social” come vorrei: anche il semplice lavoro di “backstage” di un semplice post è impegnativo.
Per questa stagione vi presenterò diversi pezzi unici, con nuovi design ed ognuno con la sua storia. Tanti modelli saranno esemplari unici, che non verrano replicati. Diventeranno, così, più speciali per chi gli vorrà avere.🥰

***.. after a long summer spent chasing new ideas, I'm happy to return to this platform to show you my new creations ☺️. Knitting and seeing what simple balls of wool are being transformed into, for me is a way of meditation, but, unfortunately, it comes often difficult to manage time (always less!) and be as "social” as I would like: even the simple “backstage” work of a simple post could be quite challenging…

This season will present you some unique pieces with new design and with their stories. Many of them will be one exemplars and will not be replicated or redone. In this was they will become even more special for those who will wish to have them 🥰

Gli ultimi di quest'anno erano per una persona speciale che aveva bisogno di berretti di lana merino sia caldi che leggeri per lo sci. Alle fine mi ha detto che erano mitici 😃

Come ho promesso, ecco una piccola guida sulle differenze tra gli per aiutarti a scegliere quello più adatto a te.
Gli sono disponibili in 4 diversi modelli, tutti realizzati con pura lana merino italiana. Scorri per vedere tutto.

1. Classic beanie: come modello questo è un berretto classico e semplice, con una parte superiore leggermente più alta. È caldo, ideale per la vita quotidiana in città, ma anche per le attività sportive in montagna.
2. Berretto arrotondato - è caldo come quello classico, ma calza più rotondo, senza top, abbracciando completamente la testa.
3. Berretto high top con risvolto: questo è il più caldo tra i berretti, ideale per gli inverni freddi e le escursioni in montagna. Puoi indossarlo sia piegato che senza piegatura, è 2 in 1 😉
4. Berretto leggero: questo è perfetto per la primavera / autunno, è leggero e si adatta alla testa, piegandosi un po' sulla fronte.

1. Classic beanie- as a model this one is a simple, classic beanie, with just a bit higher top. It is warm, ideal for a daily city life and also for sport activities in the mountains.
2. Rounded beanie- it is as warm as the classic one, but fits rounder, without a top, embracing fully the head.
3. High top cuffed beanie- this is the warmest one among the beanies, ideal for cold winters and slow hiking/walking in the mountains. You can wear it both folded or without folding, it’s 2 in 1 😉
4. Light beanie- these ones are for spring/fall, they are light and fit the head more like hipster beanies, folding a bit on the forehead.

So, why for our new cardigans and what do they symbolize?

Circles play a crucial role in Tibetan culture. They are present both in traditional rituals and on outside walls of almost all Tibetan Buddhist temples and monasteries.

In Tibetan culture the circle symbolizes first of all “the wheel of life” or “the cyclic existence” (widely known as samsāra).
Swipe right to see a photo of “bhavāchakra”( “the wheel of life”) that can be found on Tibetan temples (unknown author).

In Sanskrit sources the circle can be found also as a symbol of endless rotation of cosmic energy.

In Tibetan rituals people form different types of circles to perform ceremonial, mostly religious acts (rites).

Besides, Tibetan monks for many centuries have created and continue to create ritually efficacious magic circles, mandalas, using a technique known as sandpainting (even if they use also other materials).

C’e SOLO una fascia per ogni colore, quindi affrettati a scegliere la tua! Purtroppo le foto non riescono a trasmettere la morbidezza e sofficità della lana alpaca con cui sono realizzate.
L’alpaca è considerata come la lana più calda, ma allo stesso tempo è super leggera: la fascia pesa appena 50 grami.

New colours of are available!!
There is ONLY one headband from each colour, so manage to take yours! Unfortunately I can’t transmit through the photos the softness and the fluffiness of the alpaca wool they are made with.
Alpaca is likely the warmest wool but at the same time it is super light: the headband weights not more than 50grams.

1. Celtic knot designs were used as early as the third century A.D and can be seen on Roman floor mosaics (swipe to see the photo). Further examples of Celtic knots can be seen in Ethiopian art, Russian book illumination in the Medieval era and Islamic art. Celts drew these particular symbols because realistic depictions of living creatures were forbidden.
2. The Celts were great poets- the “bardoi” were the singing poets of the Celts. They were highly respected and composed haunting songs of praise and satire. They could stop battles by stepping between armies and were paid well in gold for their services.

6. Since the Celts considered the head to be the source of life and the location of a person’s soul, warriors saw great value in beheading their defeated enemies. Severed heads were a motif in Celtic art and Celtic mythology.
7. Asterix is one of the most popular Celtic figures in the history of pop culture. Asterix is a native Gaul whose village is the last part of Gaul that hasn’t been conquered by the Romans 😉
