Rafedìn - Iraqi Girls رافدين A project to support Iraqi refugee girls in Jordan. Le creazioni Rafedin nascono come un ponte tra oriente e occidente.

Rafedin - Made by Iraqi Girls رافدين nasce nel marzo 2016 da un’idea di alcuni amici italiani, spinti dalla volonta’ di aiutare e sostenere un gruppo di ragazze profughe provenienti dall’Iraq, e rifugiatesi in Giordania. Il progetto punta a garantire una formazione professionale, attraverso l’aiuto di cinque sarte italiane e giordane che insegnano a 20 di loro l’arte del cucito e della confezione.

Amman, per le ragazze e le loro famiglie fuggite da ISIS nell’agosto 2014, diventa un luogo di transito nell’attesa di essere accolte da paesi come Australia e Canada. Rafedin mira a far si che questa tappa della loro vita sia un’occasione per una delle categorie piu’ vulnerabili della comunita’, di imparare un mestiere spendibile in qualsiasi paese le ragazze irachene si troveranno. Tagli e modelli italiani su stoffe e colori tipicamente orientali.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of the Rafedìn 10-Year and Mar Yohanna 2-Year Anniversary celebration scheduled for March 8th.

Due to the evolving situation in the Middle East and out of deep concern for the safety and well-being of our community, we believe this is the most responsible decision at this time.

This celebration meant so much to us, and we were looking forward to gathering together. While we are disappointed, we remain hopeful and prayerful for peace.

Thank you for your understanding, continued prayers. We will share updates about future plans as they become available.
