As part of the 40th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, held from 23 July to 2 August 2026, Tiraz Centre presented its interactive digital screen, inviting visitors to explore highlights from its collection of traditional costumes and textiles from Jordan, Palestine, the Levant, and the wider region.

Tiraz Centre’s participation was part of The Living Macellum (The Rewoven Macellum), an immersive cultural programme presented by Turquoise Mountain Levant.

Thank you to the volunteer Haider Zregar for your great spirit and dedication.

ضمن فعاليات مهرجان جرش للثقافة والفنون في دورته الأربعين، الذي أُقيم من 23 تموز إلى 2 آب 2026، قدّم مركز طراز شاشته الرقمية التفاعلية، التي أتاحت للزوار فرصة استكشاف مختارات من مجموعته من الأزياء والمنسوجات التقليدية من الأردن وفلسطين وبلاد الشام والمنطقة العربية الأوسع.

وجاءت مشاركة مركز طراز ضمن برنامج “المَاكِلّوم الحي” (إعادة نسج المكِبلّبوم)، وهو برنامج ثقافي تفاعلي قدمته مؤسسة توركواز ماونتن ليفانت.

Open Embroidery Day
Entrance fee: 3 JOD

Saturday, August 8, 2026 · 11:00–4:00

Bring your own embroidery pieces and materials and spend the day stitching in the cozy atmosphere of Tiraz Centre.

🌟 Two experienced embroiderers will be there to help beginners with any embroidery techniques, including the traditional stitches of northern Jordan and the Horan region.

Warm drinks and light treats will be available throughout the day.

أحضِروا قطع ومستلزمات التطريز الخاصة بكم واقضوا اليوم في أجواء دافئة ومريحة في مركز طراز.

✨ ستكون هناك مطرّزتان من ذوات الخبرة لمساعدة المبتدئين في مختلف تقنيات التطريز، بما في ذلك الغرز التقليدية لشمال الاردن و منطقه حوران.

تتوفّر مشروبات ساخنة وضيافة خفيفة طوال اليوم.

One of the areas we are currently exploring at Tiraz Centre is the chest panels from the Kerak region of Jordan. This example is among the oldest from that region in the collection. Through the study of these textiles, we continue to uncover and celebrate the stories woven into these treasures that are preserved through time.

من المجالات التي نركز عليها حاليًا في مركز طراز دراسة الصدور المطرزة من منطقة الكرك في الأردن، ويُعد هذا المثال من أقدم القطع المحفوظة من هذه المنطقة ضمن المجموعة. ومن خلال دراسة هذه القطع، نواصل اكتشافاً والاحتفاء بالقصص المنسوجة في هذه الكنوز المحفوظة عبر الزمن.

Happening now at Tiraz Centre: a tahrireh (couching) embroidery workshop with Mrs. Adela Soboh. Participants are studying original pieces from the collection, exploring the distinctive couching technique and the rich motifs that have made Bethlehem embroidery renowned.

A special thank you to Karam Abu Jarad for generously donating part of the materials used in today’s workshop.

يقام الآن في مركز طراز ورشة تطريز التحريرة مع السيدة عديلة صبح، حيث يطّلع المشاركون على قطع أصلية من، ويتعرّفون عن قرب على تقنية التحريرة المميزة والزخارف التي اشتهرت بها المدينة.

كل الشكر لـمحلات كرم ابو جرد على تبرعه بجزء من المواد المستخدمة في هذه الورشة.

It was an honour to welcome Jacky Sawalha for a special visit to Tiraz Centre yesterday.

Jacky is the author of Voices: The Pioneering Spirit of Women in Jordan, a book that captures the stories and experiences of inspiring Jordanian women and highlights their important contributions to society.

A limited number of copies of the book are now available at Tiraz Centre.

كان من دواعي سرورنا وشرفنا استقبال جاكي صوالحة في زيارة خاصة إلى مركز طراز أمس.

جاكي صوالحة هي مؤلفة كتاب Voices: The Pioneering Spirit of Women in Jordan، الذي يوثّق قصص وتجارب نساء أردنيات ملهمات، ويسلط الضوء على إسهاماتهنّ المهمة في المجتمع.

تتوفر الآن كمية محدودة من نسخ الكتاب في مركز طراز.
