We’re excited to announce our pop-up at Nepenthes New York.
Running from March 27 through late May.
For this occasion, we have woven exclusive Nepenthes-original fabrics and created special haori jackets to accompany them.
We will also present a selection of Kurume Kasuri pants, shirts, and haori.
This is the only place in New York where you can experience and purchase these pieces.
What is Kasuri?
Kasuri (ikat) is a traditional Japanese textile made by dyeing threads before weaving.
Why Kasuri?
Its beauty lies in the subtle “misalignment” — a balance between intention and chance.
Each piece carries a unique rhythm and expression that cannot be replicated.
