Some of you may know that we bought Luna, the red and white collie that looks like a caramel jersey lolly into our lives a couple of years ago. What you may not know is that she loves to chew my reading glasses (8 pairs so far) and my cashmere cardigans (buttons are particularly delicious in her eyes) so my lovely son Jonathan and his fiancé Emma bought me this little weaving repair kit for my birthday. Very happy with the way little repairs are looking and I don’t have to throw out my cardigan because of an overactive doggy.

We spent the day going to the Miho Museum near Shiguraki which has the most fabulous entry tunnel and landscape (carefully curated by a band of dedicated gardeners). The only picture we could take of the collection was a tiled floor mosaic. A truly extraordinary place where architecture meets a private art collection. Then off the pottery town of Shiguraki where T bought a beautiful tea bowl (not pictured). The whole town love these ceramic badgers or bears - we can’t quite work out what they are but we think they bring good luck.
