Soft sky blue gently fades into a deeper shade, with graceful gradation on the hem and sleeves that evokes the beauty of changing landscapes.

The embroidery on the front panel, the back of the right sleeve, and the lower back of the kimono features a poem from the Manyoshu, beautifully rendered in calligraphy by artist 玉雪Tamayuki .

A hand-dyed gradient flows from deep black to rich green, creating the backdrop for Falconer and Young Attendant, one of the most beloved motifs from Otsu-e folk paintings.

The charming simplicity of Otsu-e blends beautifully with the refined craftsmanship of hand-painted Yuzen, resulting in a truly distinctive piece.

The Falconer is featured on the left front panel, while the Young Attendant appears on the lower back right panel, revealing different expressions of the design as you move.

裂き織り（さきおり）とは、古くなった布や使わなくなった布を細く裂き、横糸として織り込むことで、新しい布へと生まれ変わらせる日本の伝統的なリサイクル技法です。

江戸時代から続くこの技法は、東北地方などで貴重な布を無駄なく「使い切る」暮らしの知恵として受け継がれてきました。

布の色や柄が重なり合って生まれる、ひとつひとつ違った表情が裂き織りの魅力です。

SAKIORI: Giving New Life to Old Fabrics

Sakiori is a traditional Japanese recycling technique that transforms old or unused fabrics into new textiles.
The fabric is torn into thin strips and woven carefully as the weft thread, creating a completely new piece of cloth.

This technique has been passed down since the Edo period and developed especially in colder regions such as Tohoku, where people valued every piece of fabric and used it to the very end as part of their daily wisdom.

The unique charm of sakiori lies in the beautiful expressions created by the combination of different colors and patterns, making each piece truly one of a kind.

At our shop, we offer items made with sakiori, including bags, obi (kimono sash) accessories, and obi pouches.

We also hold sakiori workshops where you can experience this traditional craft yourself.
In the two-hour workshop, you can choose to make either a coaster or a placemat.

山形県米沢市の （株）おとづき商店 が手がける繭綿木綿は、経糸に綿100％、緯糸に絹100％を使用した、木綿と絹の良さを兼ね備えた反物。

綿の気軽さに、絹ならではのしなやかな肌ざわりと、ほのかな光沢。

It offers the easy comfort of cotton along with the smooth feel and subtle sheen that only silk can provide.
Another wonderful feature is that it can be washed at home, making it easy to care for in everyday life.

For this coordination, we chose an obi with orange accents to add a touch of warmth and elegance to the understated color palette.
