明日5月1日から3日間開催されるTokio art book fair に出展にします。
私の推しの2人組the goodwiller にお誘いいただき、出展することとなりました。2019年にアメリカ、ポートランドにて始まったThe goodwillerのプロジェクトは、スリフトショップで購入したアイテムを自分たちでスタイリング、着用、撮影。その後自分たちのタグを購入したアイテムに付けて、購入元のスリフトショップに返品するというもの。撮影した写真は自ら編集し、zineとなります。

今回は彼女たちが今までに各国で制作した6種類のzine/本に合うサイズのブックカバーを作りました。
The goodwillerのロゴが入ったベルトがついているので、本を身につけてお出かけ可能です。

また２人にAYA YAMANAKAの服を着てもらったルックブックも制作しました。こちらも会場にて販売します。

昨年、行ったツアーをまとめたPlatform book、Tシャツなどもご用意しています。
連休スタート是非足を運んでいただけますとさいわいです。

This time, I’m collaborating with (salt), an accommodation based on the beautiful island of Jeju. I first stayed with them in May 2024 for the Layover Project, and after many conversations about doing something together in Seoul, it’s finally happening.

During the residency, I created a shirt and a dress using their bed sheets. This exhibition is an extension of that project, continuing to work with bed sheets that are no longer in use at (salt)—worn and broken white sheets given a new life. What began with a pair of pants inspired by snow camouflage worn in the mountains gradually evolved into the idea of blending into the bedding itself—wearing clothes made from the same fabric, almost disappearing into the bed.

At the venue, (salt)’s original room sprays and new candles will also be available for purchase.
The bed sheet series will be available by order, while the essential collection pieces can be purchased on-site.

이번에는 제주도의 아름다운 섬에 위치한 숙소 (salt)와 협업하게 되었습니다. 저는 2024년 5월 Layover Project를 통해 처음 이곳에 머물렀고, 이후 서울에서 함께 무언가를 해보자는 많은 대화를 나눈 끝에 이번 프로젝트가 실현되었습니다.

레지던시 기간 동안 (salt)의 침대 시트를 사용해 셔츠와 드레스를 제작했습니다. 이번 전시는 그 프로젝트의 연장선으로, 더 이상 사용되지 않는 (salt)의 침대 시트—닳고 해진 흰 시트에 새로운 생명을 불어넣는 작업입니다. 산에서 입는 설상 위장복에서 영감을 받은 팬츠로 시작해, 점차 침구와 하나가 되는 개념으로 확장되었습니다. 같은 소재로 만든 옷을 입고 침대에 스며들 듯, 거의 사라지는 감각을 표현하고자 했습니다.

현장에서는 (salt)의 오리지널 룸 스프레이와 신작 캔들도 구매하실 수 있습니다. 베드 시트 시리즈는 주문 제작으로 진행되며, 기본 컬렉션 아이템은 현장에서 바로 구매 가능합니다.

Excited to announce my upcoming exhibition in Seoul!

This time, I’ll be collaborating with (salt) (salt) , an accommodation based on the beautiful island of Jeju. I first stayed with them in May 2024 for the Layover Project, and after many conversations about doing something together in Seoul, it’s finally happening.

During the residency, I created a shirt and a dress using their bed sheets. This exhibition is an extension of that project, continuing to work with bed sheets that are no longer in use at (salt)—worn and broken white sheets given a new life. It began with a pair of pants inspired by snow camouflage worn in the mountains, and gradually evolved into the idea of blending into the bedding itself—wearing clothes made from the same fabric, almost disappearing into the bed.

You’ll also find (salt)’s original room sprays and newly released candles at the venue. I’ll be bringing my essential collection and a new tee shirt design from Tokyo as well.
