【ASAJI Beef】
At our London trunk show reception, we will be introducing ASAJI Beef, produced by close friends of mine whom I have known since our days together at Bunka Fashion College.
ASAJI Beef is one of the few producers in Japan that manages every stage of production, from breeding and raising cattle to processing and distribution.
For many years, they spoke about their ambition to take their craftsmanship beyond Japan.
Today, that ambition has become reality. They have expanded into France and have begun working with Michelin-starred restaurants there.
Although we work in different fields, we share the same ambition: to bring the craftsmanship of the East to the world.
We hope this London gathering will create new opportunities and connections for ASAJI Beef.
But enough about them — we have our own challenge ahead.

今回のロンドン受注会のレセプションでは、私の仲間が手掛ける「あさじ牛」をご紹介します。
あさじ牛を手掛ける夫婦と私は、文化服装学院時代からの友人です。
彼らは受精・飼育・加工・販売までを一貫して手掛ける、日本でも数少ない生産者です。
彼らは常々「海外へ挑戦したい」と語っていました。
そして今、フランス進出を果たし、現地のミシュラン星付きレストランとの取引も始まっています。
私達は扱うものは違いますが、東方のクラフトマンシップを世界へ届けるという志は同じです。
今回のロンドンでの挑戦が、朝地牛にとっても新たな出会いのきっかけとなることを願っています。
