THE DANCER STORIES: IGOR MONTEIRO 🖤

Frustration is part of being a dancer.

Things won’t always happen when or how you want them to. Some days, you’ll question your progress, your path, and even yourself. Igor’s reminder is simple: don’t let the frustration steal the experience from you.

Igor began training at the Ana Araújo Ballet School in São Paulo before joining the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil in 2017. His journey later took him to Russia, where he completed an internship at the Samara Academic Theatre, and to Companhia Jovem Basileu França before joining the Ballet Nacional del Sodre.

His career is proof that every class, rehearsal, opportunity, disappointment, and small victory is part of something bigger.

Want more for yourself. Keep working for it. But don’t become so focused on what comes next that you forget to enjoy what is happening right now.

Every instance. Every stage. Every second of it.

Because one day, even the difficult parts will be moments you wish you could experience again.
