Meanwhile here is some rare concept of an origami sofa, as well as the armchair.
Originally thought to be made from wood, the cutting wood boards at right angle would be a nightmare, so it may become plastic in the end.
Quite a thick plastic to be able to bear this much of a span, but I am thinking literally put and cover a metal beam below. Let's see how this architectural approach will work in furniture.

その間、折り紙風ソファとアームチェアのちょっと珍しいコンセプト案を共有します。
最初は木製で考えていたのですが、直角に木板をカットするのがかなり大変そうなので、最終的にはプラスチック製になるかもしれません。
これほどのスパンに耐えるにはかなり厚手のプラスチックが必要になりますが、下に通る金属製の梁を隠していきたいという構造を考えています。この建築的なアプローチが家具デザインで活用できるかなと面白そうですね。
