In Japan, millions of kimono remain unworn today.

Many are beautiful.
Many were carefully crafted.
Yet they may never be worn again.

That felt like a loss to me.
Not just of fabric.
But of stories.

So I decided to give these textiles a new future

That's what upcycling means to me.

Every piece begins with a story.
And every new owner becomes part of the next chapter.

A piece of Tokyo is heading to Paris.

This summer, selected KIMONO⁺on pieces will be introduced at JAPAN Fes in Paris.

What began as a small project to give vintage kimono a new life is now traveling beyond Japan and meeting new people across cultures.

Every piece carries a story.

A kimono once worn in Japan.
A textile that survived decades.
A handmade accessory created in Tokyo.

I'm excited to see how visitors in Paris connect with these stories.
