It’s a beautiful week, and I’ve been reflecting on something that happened a few weeks ago.
I was travelling on a business trip, and just a few minutes before boarding, I received a call from a customer. She wanted to place an order, so I told her I was just about to fly out and that I would send her our sales support number so she could be assisted.
Before we ended the call, she asked me something I wasn't expecting:
“Eric, can I pray for you before you go?”
And she prayed.
For a few minutes, right there as I prepared to board my flight, someone I have never met in person but who has trusted us with her orders for close to six years prayed for me, my journey and the business.
That became one of the biggest highlights of my entire trip.
I boarded that flight feeling different.
It reminded me that sometimes what we call business becomes much more than buying and selling. Over the years, strangers have become customers, customers have become friends, and some have become people who genuinely believe in what we're building.
And sitting on that flight, I felt an even greater sense of responsibility.
I thought about her, and about all of you who have supported us, recommended us, trusted us with your money and your orders, encouraged us, and watched us grow over the years.
We are here because you chose to believe in us.
As we enter another season of growth and seek to scale our business, my prayer is that growth will never make us forget the people who made the journey possible.
May we grow enough to serve you better.
May we build the capacity to meet your demands.
May we become better at what we do.
And above all, may we remain worthy of the trust you've placed in us.
To that customer who prayed for me before I boarded that flight, you may never fully understand what those few seconds meant to me.
And to every person who has supported our businesses over the years:
