인간성 상실의 시대에 인간적 가치는 어떻게 표현될 수 있는가.

안개가 내려앉은 회색 도시, 무심한 하늘 아래 잿빛 건물들이 고요함을 자아낸다. 그 속의 차가움은 인간의 온기를 느낄 수 없을 만큼 무미건조하다.

우리는 저마다의 프레임 속 정답을 찾기 위해 방황하며, 방향을 잃고 헤매다 타인의 손길에 마음이 따뜻해진다.

2024 Capsule Collection [CHANGELESS]

An atmosphere that compels us to dwell somewhere between black and white, the covering that conceals us gradually fades into monotone as time passes.

The individual colors we hold deep inside the covering slowly become invisible.

In a moment the untouched essence of those colors come to mind, we feel an enduring sense of positivity and stability that remains unchanged over time.

검정과 흰색, 그 사이 어딘가에 머무르기를 강요하는 공기속에서, 우리의 외투는 시간이 지날수록 점차 무채색으로 희석되어 간다.
그 안으로 침잠되어 가는 본래의 색깔은 사라진 것만 같다.

2024 Main Collection [CollageScape]

We live and coexist within a shared framework, surrounded by people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Despite the daily endeavor of drawing thin lines within the frame full of outstanding structures, the resulting traces do remain blurred.

A complex interweaving of lines and structures, derived from the intricate overlap and misalignment of numerous lines, culminates in a landscape that offers us a semblance of consolation.

우린 전혀 다른 시간과 출처로부터 떨어져 나와 하나의 프레임 안에서 머물러 살아간다.

두터운 사각형으로 빼곡한 곳에서 매일 가느다란 원 그리기를 반복하지만, 그 흔적은 선명히 남지 않는다.

나와는 결코 같을 수 없는 여러 색의 선들이 겹치고 어긋나 마침내 나타나는 그물 같은 그림자는 우리가 조금이나마 위안을 얻는 풍경으로 완성된다.

2023 Collaboration [klassik]

PROJEKT PRODUKT's definition of classic indicates something that enables us to keep the values and uses even after a generation passes, not just conventional and old fashioned.

Kunsik tried to accommodate the most contemporary classic into the design of the sunglasses by redesigning all the details from the ground up.

우리가 정의하는 클래식은 단순히 전통적이며 옛스러운 것이 아닌 세대가 지나도 오래도록 그 쓰임과 가치를 유지할 수 있는 것이다.

우리는 안경의 모든 디테일들을 원점에서 부터 다시 설계하며 가장 동시대적인 클래식을 안경디자인에 담고자 했다.

Kunsik Choi is a designer who works based in Stockholm and works in the areas of furniture, objects, and space.
He breaks down the boundaries between craft and industrial design and presents his new perspective through in-depth research on traditional technology and a delicate approach to materials. His furniture and objects,
which contain harmony and balance in his work with their unique delicacy, are produced in Sweden and Korea through craftsmen in each field, generations of technology, small workshops, and the artist's own hands.

최근식은 스톡홀름을 베이스로 활동하며 가구와 오브제, 공간의 영역을 아울러 작업하는 디자이너이다.
그는 공예와 산업디자인의 경계를 허물며 전통기술에 대한 깊이 있는 연구와 재료에 대한 섬세한 접근을 통해 그만의 새로운 관점을 제시한다.
특유의 섬세함으로 작업에 조화와 균형을 담아내는 그의 가구와 오브제는 스웨덴과 한국에서 수작업으로 만들어지며 각 분야의 장인들,
대를 이어 기술을 이어온 아뜰리에, 소규모 공방 그리고 작가 본인의 손을 통해 제작된다.

Just as you may tend to long for the world you left behind, we all possess an ardent thirst for somewhere that seems out of reach - a vague longing for the unknown and the fantasies that we can leave someday.

These sentiments come out of the blue and create a moment of appreciation allowing us to live on with a feeling of extreme excitement.

방랑하는 이가 떠나온 곳을 그리워하듯, 도시에 머문 우린 닿지 않을듯한 어딘가를 끝없이 갈망한다.

미지를 향한 막연한 동경, 그리고 언젠가 떠날 거라는 기대와 환상.
그 아련한 감정은 어느 날 불현듯 찾아와 감상의 순간을 만들어내고 설렘으로 살아가게 한다.
