K-헤리티지의 정수, 호랑이가 온다”... 압구정서 ‘호락호락(虎樂虎樂)전’ 개최
전 세계적으로 K-컬처를 넘어 한국적 전통의 가치인 ‘K-헤리티지’에 대한 관심이 폭발하고 있는 가운데, 우리 민족의 영물인 ‘호랑이’를 현대적 시각으로 재해석한 특별한 전시가 열린다.
오는 2월 13일부터 3월 27일까지 압구정동 프로젝트 스페이스에서 개최되는 ‘호락호락(虎樂虎樂)전’은 북촌박물관의 인기 전시인 ‘복복복 호랑이전’의 뒤를 잇는 시즌 2 특별전이다. 다물통일문화재단 송화미술관, 라플란드가 주최하고, 르리앙, 영아트갤러리, 아델앤코콘텐츠랩(ACL)이 공동 기획한 이번 전시는 단순한 관람을 넘어 한국인의 삶과 문화 속에 깊이 뿌리 내린 호랑이의 존재 의미를 새롭게 조명한다.
특히 이번 전시는 현대 민화 작가들과의 협업을 통해, 박제된 전통이 아닌 ‘살아 숨 쉬는 컨텐츠’를 선보인다. K-헤리티지에 대한 갈증을 느끼는 관람객들에게 한국인이 호랑이를 어떻게 소비하고 향유해 왔는지를 감각적으로 전달할 예정이다. 이번 ‘호락호락전’은 향후 예정된 대규모 ‘시즌 3’ 프로젝트로 나아가기 위한 중요한 가교 역할을 할 것으로 기대를 모으고
있다.
"The Essence of K-Heritage: The Tigers are Coming"... ‘Horak Horak’ Exhibition to Open in Apgujeong
As global interest in ‘K-Heritage’—the core values of Korean tradition—reaches an explosive peak, a special exhibition is set to redefine the "Tiger," the spiritual guardian of the Korean people, through a modern lens.
The ‘Horak Horak (Tiger & Joy) Exhibition’ will be held from February 13 to March 27 at Project Space in Apgujeong-dong. This event is the highly anticipated Season 2 special exhibition following the successful ‘Bok Bok Bok Tiger Exhibition’ currently hosted at the Bukchon Museum. Organized by the Dhamul Korean Reunification Cultural Foundation Songhwa Museum of Art and Salon de Lappland, and co-curated by Le Lien, Young Art Gallery, ACL the exhibition moves beyond simple observation to illuminate how the tiger is deeply intertwined with the life and culture of Koreans.
A highlight of this exhibition is the collaboration with contemporary Minhwa (folk art) artists, transforming "stagnant tradition" into "living, breathing content." It aims to satisfy the growing demand for authentic K-Heritage by vividly showcasing how tigers have been consumed and celebrated in Korean daily life. The ‘Horak Horak’ exhibition serves as a crucial "messenger" and bridge, paving the way for the upcoming large-scale Season 3 project.
