The first two destinations will comprise 44 privately owned automobile studios, 22 in West Palm Beach and 22 in Dallas, ranging from 250 and 560 square metres.

Each studio is conceived to become a unique space in a collector’s life, built for an owner who might work from it in the morning, rest in it in the afternoon, and host friends there by evening. The studios themselves feature deeded ownership, a mezzanine level, a full bathroom, wet bar facilities, and a climate-controlled environment engineered to protect both valuable vehicles and the comfort of occupants.

Porsche Design × Hodinkee chapter 2: The return of a legendary movement.

The collaboration traces its DNA directly to the legendary Porsche Design military chronographs of the late 1970s and 1980s. During this time, a number of air and naval forces approached Porsche Design directly, asking for a Chronograph 1 built to their own operational specifications: these “Military” variants were designed to be legible in all conditions, dependable under duress, serviceable in the field, with no room for exceptions.

Going back to F. A. Porsche’s roots, Hodinkee and Porsche Design have reinterpreted that exact standard for the modern collector — not the uniform, but the same uncompromising commitment to utility, function, and simplicity, with performance as the ultimate aesthetic.
