Help a Single Mother Build a Sustainable Livelihood.
A hardworking single mother is the sole caregiver and provider for her two children, her mother and her unmarried aunt. With five family members depending on her, she carries the responsibility of managing their everyday needs while trying to earn an income from home.
She supports her family through the tailoring skills she already has, stitching shalwars and other clothing and undertaking cutting work. However, her current sewing machine is old and damaged, preventing her from accepting more orders and earning a reliable income.
The family has a small shop space at their home that has remained unused since their previous business closed during the COVID period. CareStation hopes to help her make use of this space again by providing a Juki sewing machine and sewing materials, allowing her to expand her tailoring work while also selling basic sewing supplies.
Despite the weight of caring for her family on her own, she is determined to work and become financially independent. With the right equipment, she has the skills and opportunity to build a sustainable livelihood from home.
