Important update for agri-food workers! On February 10, 2024, the following changes to the came into force:

☑️ In-Canada applicants now have the option to meet either the job offer or the education requirement.

☑️ The pilot now accepts work experience gained under an open work permit for vulnerable workers.
Other changes implemented in the past year involve
• extending the pilot until May 14, 2025
• removing annual occupational sub-caps, which limited how many candidates could apply under a specific occupation
• allowing union reference letters as proof of work experience
• expanding open work permits to family members of all applicants
