The entrance of Biyagama Export Processing Zone – Block A has been transformed into a vibrant display of beautifully crafted Vesak lanterns created by our talented OCL teams in celebration of Vesak 2026.

We warmly invite everyone to visit and experience these colourful creations and the spirit of togetherness shared by the Ocean Lanka family. The lantern display will be open to visitors until 02nd June 2026.

As Sri Lanka’s leading weft knitted fabric manufacturer, Ocean Lanka continues to strengthen its commitment towards environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation through the successful completion of Phase 02 of its rainforest restoration initiative near the Sinharaja Forest Reserve.

Building on the success of Phase 01 conducted under the Cinnamon Rainforest Conservation Project, Ocean Lanka partnered with the Dilmah Conservation Restoration Project together with the students of the Environmental Technology Society of the University of Colombo to further support the restoration of Sri Lanka’s valuable wet zone rainforest ecosystem in Ratnapura.

Despite challenging weather conditions, more than 85% of the saplings planted during the initial phase have survived and thrived, contributing towards the planting of nearly 22,000 native trees while encouraging the return of birds, butterflies, and other wildlife species to the restored environment.

At Ocean Lanka, sustainability goes beyond manufacturing. Through meaningful partnerships, community engagement, and conservation-driven initiatives, we remain committed to creating long-term positive environmental impact and building a greener, more resilient future for generations to come.
