For 14 years, NewIDeA has been connecting international design education with real-world challenges, bringing together partner institutions, creative teams and organisations with something to explore.

🇮🇹 Scuola Italiana Design, Padua has been a NewIDeA partner since day one, bringing its strong focus on industrial and product design, creative practice and collaboration with industry.

🇵🇱 Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk has also been part of our long-term international network, contributing its experimental and interdisciplinary approach to design and contemporary creative practice.

And while our academic partnerships bring together people, knowledge and different ways of thinking, our organisational partners bring the real challenges that become the starting point for each edition.

Meet our NewIDeA 2026 partner: Gamtos ateitis!

Gamtos Ateitis is a Lithuanian association promoting responsible packaging waste management, recycling and more sustainable consumption.

This year, they join NewIDeA 2026, bringing their expertise and perspective on sustainability and responsible packaging into our creative workshop.

We’re excited to see what IDeAs this collaboration will spark.

Behind the scenes!

We were visited at the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation together with 15min (Lithuanian media agency), who are preparing video stories about awarded projects and their everyday activities.

Following the Quality Award 2025 for the outstanding implementation of an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, the NewIDeA team — Andrejus Repovas, Greta Gilvanovaitė and Egidijus Valentinavičius — shared their insights in an interview.

Our project NewIDeA Design Workshop has received the “Quality Competition 2025” award from the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.

The award recognises the project for its exceptionally high quality of implementation and for promoting the internationalisation priorities of the Erasmus+ programme.

A special THANK YOU to the entire Design Department and our colleagues for their continuous support — and especially to our partner institutions and all participants who make NewIDeA possible.
