We tend to think of summer as something that requires some destination, booking a trip. But anyone who has travelled with a baby knows that a holiday with a small child is less a holiday and more a relocation of all your usual responsibilities to a less familiar place. The naps still need to happen and thr feeding still needs to happen. And you’re doing all of it somewhere without your own kitchen, your own bed.

Sol Mate started on a beach in Indonesia ☀️

Carmen and Jip founded it after a trip in 2023. Kitesurfers, nature lovers, who’d seen firsthand what chemical sunscreens were doing to the coral reefs they swam in. They came home and decided to create a sunscreen with nothing to hide: 100% natural, mineral SPF 30, safe for sensitive skin and children and made in connection with the communities in Indonesia who supply the ingredients.

Since then, Carmen has kept creating and Sol Mate has grown into a small but considered collection of natural skincare. We brought two products to Viduje this time: the sunscreen that began it all and a natural lip balm.

This is the brand we’ve been waiting to bring to Viduje since last summer. This summer, it’s finally here 🌊
