22th May- World Gothic day.
A day where the goth scene gets to celebrate its own being, and an opportunity to make its presence known to the rest of the world.
Begining of Gothic subculture we find in England end of 70th and early 80th.
Among the music subcultures that influenced it were Punk, New wave, and Glam.But it also drew inspiration from B movies, Gothic literature, horror films, vampire cults and traditional mythology. Among the mythologies that proved influential in Goth were Celtic mythology, Christian mythology, Egyptian mythology, and various traditions of Paganism. Typical Gothic fashion has been deeply inspired by Victorian era glam.
There are plenty of films we xan see some scenes with Gothic breeze. One of my favourites is musical " Phantom of the Opera" with a final scene of cemetery.
