Walked through Athens in the Matobo boots. Wasn't sure what to expect, but they surprised me. The curb appeal is wild—people were staring. The furry cow suede, the red laces popping against the grey streets. These things have presence.

But the performance is what really got me. Rocks, steps, heat, hours of walking. No break‑in period, no complaints. The grip on the sole did exactly what I needed it to, and I forgot I was wearing them half the time. That's the goal.

This trip has been a lot of things. Hard. Eye-opening. Beautiful. We came here to show our best work at South East Asia Fashion Week, and while not everything went as planned, I'm still grateful. Grateful to be here. Grateful to have a partner like Carmen who's been in the trenches with me. Grateful for every single person who supported this brand enough to get us across the world.

You probably noticed the clothes have been quiet for a minute. That's because we locked ourselves in the lab. We needed to rediscover what makes us feel something internally, and get clear on the direction this brand actually deserves.

Inclusivity has always been the core, but we decided to go back to where we started: functionality. Then we extended our language again—speaking to who we always were, but better serving who we've become.

Our best work to date debuts at South East Asia Fashion Week in Kuala Lumpur, July 7–8.

Took the Matobo Hikers to Athens to see how they hold up. First time testing them in the real world, and honestly—they don’t need much breaking in. Mad comfortable right out the box. The durability is something to behold. Old-world aesthetic, new-world performance. I’m happy with them.

Also decided to throw in the Saturn Surfer Pants. Unreleased. We made these in a waterproof, soft fabric with a cool-layer lining, and the double envelope pockets I’ve been obsessed with. They’re part of the new hike collection, and they just held their own on these hills.
