✨Maybe being kinda chic as a mom has less to do with doing everything “right” and more to do with finally letting go of the performance.
Kinda chic to stop believing everything you see on social media 🫣 especially the perfectly curated version of motherhood.
Many people lie about their real lives behind social media, we see a lot of moms putting some real pressure on themselves to be this perfect version they are selling on this platform, which is super toxic 🥺
Kinda chic to admit that you need help. From your partner, your parents, a family member, a nanny, a babysitter… whoever makes your life a little easier. Needing help doesn’t make you less of a mother. It makes you human.
Kinda chic to use screen time without making it a moral debate. Sometimes it’s a tool, not a babysitter. And honestly? Context matters.
Kinda chic to never tell another mom, “You’ll miss this one day.” Maybe she will. Maybe she won’t. Maybe she’s exhausted and allowed to feel exactly how she feels today.
Kinda chic to let your kids eat sweets sometimes without the guilt, the lecture, or the feeling that you’ve somehow failed as a mother.
And very, very kinda chic to stop telling other moms what they should be doing.
Because chances are… she knows.
She’s already thinking about it, questioning it, googling it, second-guessing it and doing the best she can.
Motherhood doesn’t need more perfect examples.
It needs more honesty, more nuance, more “same here” and a lot less judgment.
So here’s to the imperfect, realistic, sometimes chaotic version of motherhood.
Honestly? That one feels pretty chic to us. 🤍
