Samsung smartphones are in acute shortage
Samsung smartphones have disappeared from sale in Pakistan due to record demand
Samsung, a South Korean corporation, was unable to meet the demands of smartphone consumers in one of the markets. This is reported by Bloomberg.
According to the agency's journalists, the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone line turned out to be extremely popular in Pakistan. The country is the fifth most populous in the world, with about 192 million smartphone owners living in it. The article says that Pakistan is one of the most important markets for Samsung and other manufacturers.
Media experts explained the high demand and acute shortage for Samsung smartphones by the fact that the Korean company collects devices in Pakistan and pays reduced taxes. This is how the local government stimulates business. In this regard, the company supplies devices to the market at a reduced price. In particular, due to record demand, the devices of the Korean brand have disappeared from sale.
"Samsung Electronics is making every effort to meet the needs of our customers, and we expect sales to resume soon," the corporation said in an official statement. According to the Bloomberg authors, Apple is not as successful in the markets of developing countries, as local users prefer relatively inexpensive devices.
