The golden land of Myanmar is full of colour,whether natural or man-made.This colour is enhanced to some extent by all manner of umbrellas and parasols.The Pathein parasol for one is simply enchanting ,with it’s beautiful design containing sort of artistic painting on them.
Pathein, Irrawaddy Division in the delta region of Myanmar‘s capital, umbrella industry is well known in Myanmar. This cottage industry there are over a hundred years has been founded in Pathein. The first paper umbrella was made in the course of time and experience, manufacturers become innovative, umbrella and began to produce cotton, silk, satin attractive floral decoration attic. These newly formed umbrella has gained popularity with his wife and to expand sales in the country. Umbrella attract foreigners to buy a souvenir or as an interior wall decoration and use unique shade. Production of Pathein umbrella is more or less a cottage industry, and the manufacturing division of labor within a single framework. Each worker is assigned a different task, one in charge of the coasts of the frame and the other tree, and others to the canopy, the handle, tip or hold the coasts and in the wheels, even a corner or move to open and close the umbrella.

Longyi (လုံချည်)❤️

Longyi is widely recognized as Myanmar national costume. Actually, longyi is not unisex costume but it has difference between men and women.

Longyi worn by males are called Paso. Paso is just a sheet of cloth which is functional, comfortable, and breathable when Myanmar gets to be unbearably hot. Men wear the modern paso by making a fold on either side in front and tied by tucking them together at the waist just below the navel. A paso is usually decorated with stripes or checkers and are more in dark color (black, brown, dark blue…)

Shirt (leh gadone)လည်ကတုံး❤️
The Myanmar-style shirt, or leh gadone, is the equivalent of the Western-style dress shirt. A decent leh gadone and paso ensemble will pass muster in almost any setting. Leh gadone are usually white, but may be coloured in order to match the rest of the outfit.

Jacket (tike pone)တိုက်ပုံ❤️
The tike pone is the equivalent of the Western suit coat in the Myanmar ensemble. Lawyers, politicians, CEOs and other bigwigs wear them on a daily basis. Ordinary people usually reserve them for special occasion.

Longyi (htamein)❤️
The htamein, or female longyi, is a colourful full-length skirt tied around the waist. In general:
-The colours and patterns tend to be brighter and more elaborate than the male longyi.
– They tend to be worn in primary and secondary colours.
– Popular designs include stripes, flowers and vines, and a distinctive wave pattern known as acheik.
– We can wear them with the fold either to the left or the right, although people from southern Myanmar usually opt for a righthand fold. One can tell the quality of a htamein by the material (usually cotton or silk) as well as the embroidery.

Top (ingyi)❤️
Ingyi simply means “top.” There is a wide variety of ingyi styles, but they often fall into three very rough categories:

– Yin si, which buttons straight down the torso from the neckline.(ရင်စေ့)
– Yin phone, which one folds across the torso to be buttoned on one side.(ရင်ဖုံး)
– Tekkakatho yin phone or “university yin phone”, a proper, somewhat old-fashioned style which buttons directly from the shoulder down one side of the torso.(တက္ကသိုလ်ရင်ဖုံး)
