NO MORE LOAD SHEDDING

Zambians will no longer experience load shedding because government has increased power generation and supply, Central Province permanent secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe has said.

Speaking during a media briefing in Kabwe, he said the current electricity output is enough to cover national demand, with Zambia targeting an additional 1,000 megawatts by year-end through a mix of hydro, solar and coal sources.

WHAT THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE POLITICKING DJ

A few days ago, a story went viral that a DJ was fired for playing a campaign song for Mundubile at Club Lounge in Kabwata.

The PF and its NRPUP offshoot and Mundubile himself disseminated this and attempted to portray this as an inhuman act (in Mundubile’s own words).

But the truth is that the DJ is a key member of the Mundubile campaign team. They can’t even name him. But we will.

On that particular day, he was given K12, 000 by the NRRP to impose that song on club goers.

BUT MOST important: why did they choose Club Lounge ?

Because Club Lounge is owned by UPND Matero constituency aspiring candidate Alexander Mumba Sakala.

It’s clear to see that this was a political attack. Despite the owner of the club being a UPND candidate, he has ordered that no UPND political songs. This is business.
So why should someone he feeds bring his political activities in his employer’s business premises with the sole aim of destroying the business?

THE MAN WHO WORKS IN SECRECY
By INDUNA MACHOLOOLA

Hakainde Hichilema. The man whose works speak louder than his words.

Zambia, there are leaders who do things for cameras.
And then there is President Hakainde Hichilema — a man who does things for God and for people.

ACTS YOU WILL NEVER HEAR ON PODIUMS

Here is a man who gave nurses and a driver to take care of the late Vice President Guy Scott for over three years until his demise.

No press conference. No Facebook live. No banners.
Just human kindness. Just duty.

This is just but one of the good deeds of Hakainde Hichilema.

He is the man whose actions are so wonderful that if it were others, they would be standing on top of mountains to announce what they are doing.

But this man understands something deeper:
What he does, he does it to the glory of God.
He is humble. Down to earth.

HE WAS GIVING BEFORE POLITICS

Long before his political career, President HH was sponsoring people from primary to university in his individual capacity.
Children whose names you will never know.
Families who eat today because of a quiet hand that helped yesterday.

No noise. No credit demanded. Just service.

WHY IT MATTERS

In a world of noise, secrecy is rare.
In a world of "look at me", humility is leadership.

That is why I say:
May God bless him publicly, for he loves to work in secrecy.

Because the God who sees in secret rewards openly.
And the people who were helped in secret will defend him openly.

FINAL WORD

Leadership is not about microphones.
Leadership is about what you do when no one is watching.

President Hakainde Hichilema has shown us that.
Works over words. Deeds over drama. Service over self.

HH to Commission 100MW Chisamba Phase II Solar Plant

President Hakainde Hichilema is expected in Chisamba District on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, to commission Phase II of the Chisamba Solar Power Plant.

The newly completed 100-megawatt facility, valued at approximately US$70 million, will double the Chisamba solar complex’s total generation capacity from 100MW to 200MW.

Central Province Permanent Secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe said President Hichilema is expected to arrive in the district at around 09:30 hours to officially commission the project.

Phase II was constructed next to the first 100MW plant, which President Hichilema commissioned on June 30, 2025. The first phase was developed by the Kariba North Bank Extension Power Corporation, a subsidiary of ZESCO, with PowerChina serving as the engineering and construction contractor.

Construction of the second phase reportedly took about seven months, with the project reaching 96 percent completion by early July 2026.

Once commissioned, the two phases will enable Chisamba District to contribute a combined 200MW of solar electricity to the national grid, strengthening Zambia’s energy security and reducing the country’s heavy dependence on hydropower, which has been affected by recurring droughts.

The project forms part of the Government’s broader programme to diversify Zambia’s energy mix, increase renewable-energy generation and provide more reliable electricity to households, businesses and industries.

The additional 100MW will also support grid stability and move the country closer to its target of generating at least 1,000MW of solar energy.
