Baja update:

Tim Roush is home and stable now, glad he's safe and on the path to recovery now.

Thanks Joe Crable for the excellent pit and crew support, we couldn't have done it without you!

Provisional from Stage 1 are up, as the first part of the stage needed some correcting after a course deviation do to land access after the stage starting.

If everything stands, then I'm pretty happy with that result, landing right behind the Rally Pro guys.

It's only one stage, but while riding on a still not 100% ankle, and my first go, I'm very happy. I'll openly admit I wouldn't have kept that pace for 5 more day, so I'll take it as the preview it is.

A rough end to our Baja Rally trip. Both ADV-Tims finished stage one despite injuries. Tim Donaworth rode on a broken ankle. Tim Roush broke his collarbone but still rode the last 20miles of the stage. We're headed home. Best of luck to all the riders! Thanks to the organizers and the San Quintin clinic. We'll be back (to the race, not the clinic, we hope).

Day 1 in the Baja Rally! San Quintin to Catavina. Stunning views along the coast, mountains, and boulder fields. The TIMS collected cactus needles like pin cushions. Who knew those are sharp?

Day 0 of the 6 Day Baja Rally: safety checks, Rally Comp training, last-minute equipment fixes, and fun on the dunes - aka burying bikes in the dunes. Riders' meeting and an early night listening to the Pacific surf. Day 1 starts at 7am tomorrow with a 200+ km ride from San Quintin to Catavina.
