Carmiña Romero - Costa Rica

Carmiña Romero's signature is the Tropical Chic concept. The luxury of a garment designed to be worn at a tropical gala is the hallmark of her brand.

Her client is a cultured woman, with epicurean tastes, who has fun creating her own style with pieces that will be essential in her wardrobe.

In her ultra-feminine designs, you will find a variety of long skirts, dresses, pleaded midis, romantic blouses, ruffles, soft textures and transparencies. Giving a luxurious and almost ethereal feel to her garments.

Her prints are inspired by the geometric patterns of ancient mosaics from her country and impregnated with the exuberant colors of the flora and fauna of the Costa Rican tropics. This interpretation results in vibrant and innovative prints that are easily associated with their creator.

CALMO - Uruguay

Originaria de Montevideo, Uruguay, Alice Otegui se graduó en Diseño de Moda en la Universidad ORT en 2014. Durante sus estudios, realizó un programa de intercambio en la Parsons Design School de Nueva York, donde conoció la sostenibilidad en el ámbito de la moda y se interesó por el papel fundamental del diseñador en el futuro de las sociedades.

Entre la ciudad y el paisaje agreste de Tacuarembó, Alice pasó su infancia entre los óleos constructivos de su madre y el aroma de los bosques de eucaliptos. Desarrolló una sensibilidad por el arte abstracto y una fascinación por la naturaleza que definen la narrativa de su marca personal.

CALMO nació en 2017, canalizando la pasión de la diseñadora por el diseño con propósito. A través de un rico proceso de colaboración con artesanos locales, Alice explora procesos naturales y manuales, en una búsqueda para elevar las técnicas artesanales tradicionales, encendiendo la innovación en un proceso de producción basado en la experimentación.
