¡hola! finalmente pensamos que es tiempo de presentarnos. somos Andy & Gem, las personas detrás de este proyecto. nos enamoramos de Sam Cris y decidimos construir un espacio para gente como nosotrxs — creadorxs, gente q***r, amantes del arte, viajerxs, inadaptadxs y todos aquellos interesados en mantener la magia de este pueblo.

Every item in Pulguita has a story that deserves to be told. One of our favorite stories is this hand made Maasai beaded neck piece that caught our eye during one of our trips through Mexico.

The Maasai wear these eye catching chokers to signal age, social class & marital status. Each color signifies a different concept — unity, health, growth and friendship. This piece in particular would be worn by an unmarried woman to attract suitors 😉

Todos los objetos en Pulguita tienen su historia. La de este collar Maasai es una de nuestras favoritas, nos cautivó en uno de nuestros viajes a la Ciudad de México.

Lxs Massai utilizan estos collares para señalar la edad, la clase social y su situación marital. Cada color significa diversos conceptos — unidad, salud, crecimiento y amistad. Esta pieza en particular la utilizaban mujeres no casadas para atraer pretendientes 😉
