Ok ladies, so today OHE Design want to share about 4 TYPES OF MATERIALS THAT BAGS ARE MADE OF☺
So let's go!
Understanding what materials are good for what use case can give you a better idea of how you’d like your bag to look and function like.
So, here’s a list of the 4 most commonly used materials that bags are made of:
1. LEATHER
⚘Leather is one of the oldest materials used in bag making
✅PROS
- durability, strength, and abundance in wildlife resources.
- a high-quality leather bag will last for years.
- look more refined with age.
❌CONS
- require more care and personal treatment in order to maintain their quality over time.
- much heavier due to the volume of leather.
2. COTTON CANVAS
⚘an inexpensive and slightly heavyweight rough woven cotton material.
✅ PROS
- quite affordable
- easy to clean
❌ CONS
- tend to get dirty more easily
- wear down faster
3. DENIM
⚘originally used in workwear or jeans.
✅PROS
- super casual look
- suitable with any outfit
-often come in a chic shade of navy which is very versatile
-Fun and quirky
❌CONS
- hard to dress a denim design up
- priced similar to leather designs
4. STRAW
⚘ Straw is one of the oldest materials for bag making and is more commonly used today for beach bags like totes or crossbody bags
✅PROS
- suitable with every occasion, style, and budget
-unique shape or a bag that features some embroidery
❌CONS
-looks old
-difficult to wash and clean
