As we all know pure kanjivaram saree is originated from the town of Kanchipuram. Saree is made of mulberry silk which is the highest quality natural silk produced by silkworm fed with mulberry leaves.

Now , what is Meenakari work? It’s a form of Persian art with enamel artistry that usually made in intricate designs and colourful embellishment.
The word “Meenakari” is derived from the Persian word “Mina” or “Minu,” which means “heaven” or “paradise”. Saree is made with extra silk or zari(resham) threads in variaous hues to create different motifs like peacocks , florals and other traditional patterns that stands out against the metallic tissue background. Making of this Saree takes a lot more time and effort because of the multiple colour threads and intricate designs.

Outcome of Meenakari Kanjivaram Saree is a blend of South Indian silk with North Indian artistry.
