When your skin starts to itch, is your first instinct to scratch it? 😣
While scratching may feel relieving for a moment, it can further damage the skin barrier and make the itching worse.

🌿 Here are 8 simple tips to soothe itchy skin:
1️⃣ Moisturise immediately, especially after bathing
2️⃣ Avoid hot showers and use lukewarm water
3️⃣ Apply a cool compress to calm the itch
4️⃣ Wear soft, loose and breathable clothing
5️⃣ Try not to scratch
6️⃣ Choose gentle, fragrance-free skincare products
7️⃣ Keep your skin moisturised even when it feels better
8️⃣ Identify possible triggers such as sweating, heat, dust or new skincare products

From Cracked, Painful Hands to Healthier Skin Again 🤍

It started with one simple problem — but it affected so much of daily life.

She came to us with a history of hand eczema affecting both hands.

At the beginning, her hands were:
* Small blister
* Extremely dry
* Cracked and wounded
* Scaly and peeling
* Very itchy
* Affecting her daily comfort

Her initial Skin Condition Level was 80.3.

The focus was not simply on making the skin “look better”.

这位小女孩从不到一岁起，就一直受到特应性皮炎的困扰。尽管曾咨询皮肤专科医生并尝试过不同的治疗方式，皮肤状况仍未见明显改善。

她母亲家族的两边都有较明显的瘙痒家族史，但一直没有确定具体原因。她的妈妈也有类似的瘙痒问题。此外，她对鸡蛋、番茄酱和乳制品较为敏感。

在开始接受护理时，她的皮肤状况评分为 81，瘙痒程度为 8/10。皮肤不适也影响了她的睡眠，睡眠受影响评分为 5/10。

频繁的瘙痒不仅影响她的舒适度，也影响了休息，这对家人来说自然令人担忧。

Her Atopic Dermatitis Improvement Journey

This young girl had been living with atopic dermatitis since she was less than one year old. Despite visiting a skin specialist and trying different treatments, her skin condition had not shown much improvement.

She also had a strong family history of itchiness on both sides of her mother’s family, although the exact cause was never identified. Her mother also experienced similar itching concerns. She was known to be sensitive to eggs, tomato sauce and dairy products.

At the beginning of her care journey, her skin condition score was *81*, with itchiness rated *8 out of 10*. The discomfort also disturbed her sleep, with a sleep-loss score of *5 out of 10*.

The frequent itching affected both her comfort and rest, which was understandably worrying for her family.

During her follow-up review, she showed remarkable improvement. Her skin condition score reduced from *81 to 8.1*. Her itchiness improved from *8 to 0*, while her sleep-loss score reduced from *5 to 0*.

Most areas of her body appeared comfortable and stable. Only a small scratch mark remained on her belly, while the rest of her skin was doing well.

With calmer skin, no reported itchiness and better-quality sleep, she was able to feel more comfortable in her daily life. Her progress shows how consistent care, careful trigger monitoring and suitable skincare support can make a meaningful difference in managing atopic dermatitis.
