Detailed write-up on how i linked the elements in this YouTube interface design that was designed by me.
Understanding the Linked YouTube Interface
This interface design represents a user-centered Flow that connects various functionalities of YouTube seamlessly. The links and transitions between frames ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience, allowing users to navigate effortlessly between different sections of the app.
How the Interface is Linked
1. Home Screen to Shorts Frame 1 to Frame 2
From the Home screen, users can quickly transition to the Shorts section via the bottom navigation bar.
This allows instant access to short-form video content, encouraging dynamic exploration of trending videos.
2. Shorts to Content Creation Frame 2 to Frame 3
Within the Shorts section, users can tap the Record Button to start creating their own content.
The design enables creators to add sounds, filters, and effects, making the transition from consuming to creating content seamless.
3. Content Creation to Video Library Frame 3 to Frame 4
After recording, users can save or directly publish their videos. They can also return to their library to view or manage their content.
This linking ensures that creators stay in control of their content journey.
4. Video Library to Profile/History Frame 4 to Frame

From the video library or Home screen, users can access their Profile/History section. Here, they can view their watch history, playlists, and saved videos.
This design integrates user history for convenience and personalization.
5. Cohesive Navigation Across All Sections:
The bottom navigation bar is consistently accessible across all frames, allowing users to switch between Home, Shorts, Subscriptions, Library, and Search with a single tap.
This universal design principle ensures that users can explore different sections without losing their place.
The Key Linking Principles
Logical Flow: Every link between frames follows a logical progression of user actions, ensuring the journey feels natural and intuitive.
Ease of Use: The transitions between frames are visually mapped for clarity, minimizing confusion and enhancing usability.
User Engagement: By making content creation and exploration easily accessible, the interface encourages users to interact more deeply with the platform.
What This Design Offers
This linked interface creates a cohesive user experience, balancing simplicity with functionality. Users can:
Discover new content.
Create and share their own videos.
Revisit their favorite videos or manage playlists seamlessly.
By connecting every feature thoughtfully, this design ensures that users stay engaged while enjoying a hassle-free navigation experience.
