Kindly read this true life story and let's analyze it together. A woman's daughter (Helen) came from school one day and told her that her teacher always brought her son to school and the boy always looked hungry and in need of clothes. Helen also told her mum about another woman who lives close to her school who has seven children including a baby and unfortunately, they were very poor.
Helen's mum was moved with compassion and decided to gather her children's old clothes for these two women. She packed them separately and instructed Helen to give one to each woman.
When Helen got to school, she greeted her teacher "good morning ma", but the teacher ignored her because the previous day, her son was crying for Helen's biscuit but Helen couldn't give him because the biscuit was part of a gift pack Helen was given at school and she wanted to show her mum before sharing its content.
When Helen saw that her teacher snubbed her, she took all the clothes her mum packed for the boy and added it to the remaining clothes and gave them to the other woman with seven children.
So let's discuss,
1. Was Helen wrong for doing what she did?
2. What lesson did you learn from the teacher's snubbish behavior?
3. What general lesson(s) did you pick from the story?
I'll be reading your comments.
