Story Time with Mercy ☺
Epistle 4: Turning Pain into Power.
Life has a way of breaking us down before it builds us up. Every struggle we endure shapes us into who we are meant to be. Welcome back to "StoryTimewithMercy".
Today, we step into a turning point in Ada’s journer, where pain is no longer just suffering but fuel for something greater.
The Beginning of Something New.
After pasting her flyers around the neighborhood, Ada woke up the next morning with a sense of hope. For the first time in a long while, she wasn’t just waiting for an opportunity, she had created one. But would anyone call?
She sat by Mama Nkechi’s stall, her phone clutched in her hand, waiting for it to ring. Minutes turned into hours, Doubt crept in. Did I make a mistake, What if no one is interested?.
Just as fear threatened to take over, her phone vibrated, is a message. Hello, I saw your flyer. I need help with my CV, are you available?
Ada’s heart raced, she quickly responded and within an hour, she was seated across from her first client, a young man looking for a job. With careful attention, she rewrote his CV, structured it professionally and even gave him interview tips.
When he handed her the payment, a rush of emotion washed over her. It wasn’t just about the money. It was the realization that she had something valuable to offer.
That day, she decided that If one person could trust me, more people will.
Building from the Ground Up.
Word spread quickly. More people reached out, students, job seekers and small business owners needing social media help. Ada’s phone, once silent now buzzed constantly.
She was no longer just looking for a job, she had built one for herself.
With each new client, her confidence grew. She upgraded from handwritten flyers to digital designs. She started learning new skills online, she took notes on how businesses marketed themselves. She wasn’t just surviving anymore she was evolving.
But as her business grew, so did the challenges.
Some clients refused to pay, others undervalued her work. There were nights she barely slept, juggling multiple tasks but she reminded herself that "Pain is only wasted if you learn nothing from it."
She used every setback as a lesson, every struggle as motivation. She was no longer just a girl searching for opportunities, she's now a woman creating them.
The Message for Us All
How many times have we let pain break us instead of build us?
Your struggles are not the end of your story. They are the fire that will refine you if you let them.
Epistle 5: From Struggle to Success is coming soon and Ada’s journey is only getting started.
