THE ROAD THAT STILL LEADS FORWARD
Ade had always imagined life would go according to plan. Graduate early. Get a good job. Help his family. Build a comfortable life. But life had other ideas.
After graduation, doors kept closing. Job applications went unanswered. Friends moved ahead. Bills piled up. Each morning felt heavier than the last, and Ade began to believe he had failed at life.
One evening, while walking home, he noticed an elderly man pushing a cart of fruits. The cart was old, the wheels unsteady, yet the man pushed on slowly, patiently, step by step.
Out of curiosity, Ade asked, “Sir, doesn’t it get tiring?”
The man smiled and replied, “It does. But stopping won’t take me home.”
Those words struck Ade deeply.
That night, he realized something important life is not a straight road, but it is still a road. Progress may be slow. Dreams may be delayed. But stopping guarantees nothing changes.
Ade didn’t wake up successful the next day. But he woke up determined. He learned new skills, accepted small opportunities, and stopped comparing his journey to others. Gradually, things began to shift not overnight, but over time.
Years later, Ade looked back and understood that the season he once called failure was actually preparation.
Life Lessons
Delay is not denial
Progress can be slow and still be meaningful
Your journey is valid, even when it looks different
As long as you keep moving, hope remains alive
If you are tired, rest but don’t give up.
The road still leads forward.
There is no success without struggles.
