It's officially 10years since GARNETI was unveiled as a brand on the 29th of April, 2012 in the beautiful city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
It all started as a wish to host an exhibition of my craft (beaded jewelry).
A few years later after studying the trend of beaded jewelry demand, we decided to expand the business of the company to include Ready-to-Wear modest fashion apparels.
The business has literally faced all the challenges of running a fashion business in Nigeria, from our inability to meet customers demands due to lack of electricity supply, to lack of funds to settle bills and keep the business running to oh the TAILORS, I am sure that everyone running a small fashion business in Nigeria can relate.
GARNETI has through her different channels of service provision for the most part put smiles on an uncountable number of faces through excellent service delivery.
In the past 10years, GARNETI as a brand has offered a range of other services including events management, grooming of Models and Hostesses, movie/music video costuming, interior decorating, Government office furnishing, you name it.
90% of the times our customers were 100% satisfied, a few other times, we were unable to totally satisfy their needs which hurt us deeply as we have always aimed at excellence.
10years later we're still far from where we thought we would be as a brand, but we have learnt the most valuable lessons a business can teach you ...that virtues are still in vouge, that you must be true to yourself, that you must give in your best at every given opportunity, that one good turn deserves another.
Today we celebrate 10years of resilience, 10years of learning, and we're motivated to take the brand to its desired destination.
We wouldn't be here without you our very loyal friends and customers. Thank you for trusting in us, thank you for the love and support, thank you for giving us a chance to serve you. I teared up as I wrote this because this is truely heartfelt. May all your endeavours also get all the love and support they need. May your dreams come true.
