Daily Tonic: "The Path to Spiritual Renewal"
Text: 'And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them' (2 Chronicles 15:1-4).
'A godless choice is a sinful decision that is fraught with poverty, peril and perdition.
That was the hopeless state of Judah when the nation was 'without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.'
A godless man is a lawless man. And such a soul wallows in sorrow, misery and woes.
However, the simple path to peace and prosperity is to repent and return to God from the pitiable state of godlessness. That was what Asa did when prophet Azariah sounded the alarm. Says he: 'The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.'
Judah decided to turn to the Lord. They sought the Lord and the Lord was found of them.
Dearly beloved, the true path to spiritual renewal and restoration is to remember where you have fallen, repent and return heartily and honestly to the Lord.
As it is for a nation, so it is for a family. And it is the same path for a soul in search of spiritual renewal and revival.
Search your heart and seek the Lord with a penitent heart and He will restore the living waters to you famished soul in Jesus's name!' (2 Chronicles 15:1-7, Proverbs 28:13-14, Isaiah 55:6-7, Jeremiah 29:11-14, Matthew 11:28-29, Acts 3:19, Psalm 139:23-24)

Daily Tonic: "Teach Us to Number Our Days"
Text: 'Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90: 8-12).
'Beloved, your earth-life is numbered. The years of your life are spent as a told tale. However, inspring and legendary the story of your life might be, the captivating story has an end. Your soul like a song-bird, will soon flap its beautiful wings and fly away to return home to its maker one of these days.
It's a sobering truth. But it's an evasive reality that few in the mortal clay of flesh ever thoughtfully consider.
Life on earth is transitory. The tenure of man in the body of clay is very short in comparison to the endless eternity that yet lies in the womb of the unknown future.
Beloved, consider this truth with profound circumspection and reorder your priorities in your earth-life.
Methusalah lived longest on earth but he died in the end.
Death is the common leveler of us all. But its not the final sentence of anyone's life. Death is a means to an end. Its a means through which the spirit of man exits the prison of the body of clay. Then 'the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.'
Find God's earthly purpose for your life. In truth, your spirit is the real man you are.
Why are you here? Is it to 'build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven' like Ni**od or to build the lives whose souls may fit for heaven like Paul?
Your life is an indestructible entity in transition. Earth is a transit station and not your eternal home. The fools labour for the substantial and perishable materials. Theirs is the wearisome labour that cut their lives short in the midst of their years.
The wise expend their souls' energies on eternally enduring projects whose functionality outlive their earth-life. You can decide to be the like of the rich fool who imprisoned himself in the cage of self: 'I, me, my, and mine.' And you can choose to be a self-emptied soul who by the decision of his will chooses to grace the heels of Christ. 'He made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant... And became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross,' in order to redeem lost humanity from the eternal ruin of sin. Which is your choice during your short earth-life?' (Psalm 90:8-12, 49:6-15, Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, 17, 10:15, 12:1-7, Genesis 11:3-9, Deuteronomy 32:29,
Luke 12:15-21, Philippians 2:5-11, 2 Timothy 4:6-8).

Daily Tonic: "Be Certified As Christ's Agent on Earth"
Text: 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it (John 14:12-14).
'Comprehensive faith in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ certifies the believer as God's viceroy on earth. You can be certified as Christ's attorney if your spirit, soul and body admit Christ unequivocally as Saviour, Lord and Master.
His name is the key. In Christ's name resides the authority and power that translates an ordinary man into an extraordinary phenomenon.
When Christ sits enthroned on a man's heart as the unrivaled Monarch, the man's earthly agenda is absolutely run from heaven. He thinks the thoughts of God and confesses the words of God. His petitions on earth are reverred in the court of heaven.
His words are weighty. His prayers are winsome. And his works are wonder-full.
Beloved, you can become a certified agent of God on earth transacting the heavenly Father's business as the Lord Jesus Christ did during His earthly ministry.
Says the Lord Jesus Christ, 'And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents ; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.'
Christ had said it and His words are eternally irreversible nor could they be resisted by any created being both visible and invisible.
Your own part of the deal is to love Christ absolutely such that your total will absolutely cohere with His commandments. Indeed, you shall become sanctum of God, the Father, Christ, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the paraclete on earth.
Says He, 'If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.' Let your faith be full in Christ and heaven will accredit you as God's attorney on earth in Jesus's name!' (John 14:12-14, 23, Mark 16:17-18, 9:23, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Joshua 1:1-9, Isaiah 6:5-9, Jeremiah 1:7-9, 17-19, Acts 9:15-16, 26:15-19).

Daily Tonic: "The Congregation of Walking Corpses"
Text: 'And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead (Revelation 3:1).
'Anyone can convince himself he is alive but it's only the all-knowing God that has the final accreditation of the spiritual state of every mortal being.
God looks at the heart and listens to the thoughts of the human heart.
The spiritually dead man celebrates his physical strength and relishes in his physical prowess and possessions. He is known on earth as 'a Christian' but he is a non-entity in the impeccable records of God in heaven.
The spiritually regenerated man may be dispossessed of all claims of self-esteem because he has been possessed by the Spirit of Christ. His joy however, stems from the assurance from the Holy Spirit that his name is written in heaven. Though he is not exalted and given recognition among 'the who is who' in the worldly church where the congregants are walking corpses, heaven recognizes him because his name is boldly written in the Lamb's book of life.
Friend, who are you?
A famous name among the spiritually dead or a faithful soul bearing the witness of heaven as God's son?
Do not relish on an historical experience rubbished already by an inwardly horrifying corruption.
Your current profession must not be at odds with your present possession. Except you are a present possession of Christ, you cannot profess you are an authentic possession of the approved credential of the citizen of heaven.
What's your true name? A blessed son of God or a backsliden supplanter, a wolf in sheep's clothing?
Let your conscience approve or disapprove your confession!' (Revelation 3:1-6, 1 Samuel 16:7, Job 42:2, Proverbs 14:14, 2 Timothy 2:19-21, Titus 1:15-16).

Daily Tonic: "The Affection of the Heaven-bound Saint"
Text: 'If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God' (Colossians 3:1-3).
'The heaven-bound saint is a dead man. He is dead to sin. He is dead to self and he is dead to the fashions and fads of this degenerate world.
Although he trudges upon the streets of this world, his heart however, is set upon the streets of gold in heaven.
His heart is entirely centered, controlled and consumed with his reserved inheritance in heaven. His treasures are in a safe custody in heaven.
His eyes are set constantly on the glorified Lord on His exalted throne. Although there are external pressures on earth seeking his attention but he easily wards them off as a duck does water off its back.
He lays his hands on the ploughs of divine mission and does his beat under the watchful eyes of the heavenly King insensate to the distractions of the wordly minded mortals.
His feet are too busy running eternally-conditioned errands that he hardly has time to bother about struttings and frettings of little minds.
He is constantly contending against the invisible foe who seeks to derail his race on the narrow way, that he is totally insensate to the inconsequential and aimless hustle and bustle on the broadway.
Beloved pilgrim, where is your heart? What is catching your gaze on earth? Who is calling the shots in your life? Where are your feet carrying your hands on your daily chores?
Says the indefatigable Paul: 'I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.'
Living by the faith of the Son of God entails a death-route. That man who seeks to live the days of heaven on earth must be dead, buried and buried out of sight!' (Colossians 3:1-5, Matthew 6:19-21, Psalm 16:8-9, 15:1-5, Hebrews 12:2-4, Galatians 2:20).

Daily Tonic: "The Compassionate Christ"
Text: 'But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd' (Matthew 9:36).
'God is love. He created the world in love. He is sustaining the world in His everlasting love. Regardless of the rebellion of His creatures, His love is yet enduring.
Christ Jesus is the manifestation of the unfailing love of God.
'God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.'
The compassionate heart of Christ is a window into the profound love in God's heart for man even in his fallen state. God loves you still, though He hates your sin.
Christ's heart always yearned after the blind, burdened and broken humanity in his helpless state. He sought out the sinners wherever they were with one singular intention to save them from the ruinous consequences of Adam's fall.
He disregarded the scorners and gainsayers to reach out to the fainting, scattered and guideless lambs.
Beloved, God loves you and Christ had left all the glory of heaven to dispel the gloom and doom of the darkness enveloping you. Look unto Jesus for light and life. He is stretching His hands of love to you now even in your sordid and sorrowful state. Says He; 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' The bliss, the boom and the best are yet waiting for your possession. Will you heed is compassionate call?' (Matthew 9:10-13, 27-30, 35-38, Acts 10:38, Luke 19:10, John 3:16-17, 8:32, 12:46-47, Romans 5:8, 1 John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, Revelation 3:20).

Daily Tonic: "The Power of Christ's Word"
Text: 'When the evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick' (Matthew 8:16).
'Christ is God's word personified. He is the word that became flesh. He is the creator of all things, both visible and invisible. His words never return to Him emptied of accomplishments.
The centurion knew this truth. He told the Lord Jesus Christ, 'Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.' His was 'so great faith' that surpassed any other the Lord had seen in Israel till then. The centurion did not only receive the commendation of the Lord, but the object of his request was also granted him.
Unalloyed confidence in God's word brings respite to all man's needs.
If you will believe in Christ's Word, nothing shall be impossible to you. You might not have seen Jesus Christ physically but if you would hold unto His words with a tenacious heart all you desire will become yours. Let the Lord Jesus Christ speak to your life.
Christ's words are irresistible by the power of sin, sickness and Satan. Declare what Christ had spoken to you with an unwavering confidence and you will have your requests granted you in Jesus's name!' Daily Tonic: "Rest on the Fatherhood of the Heavenly Benefactor"
Text: 'If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?'
'When God becomes your Father through appropriating the finished work of Christ's redemption in your life, you automatically become a joint-inheritor with Christ.
God in heaven sees you as He sees Christ, His only begotten Son. God becomes your personal Father not just your creator.
God's grace and not your works advances you to the same exalted place Christ sits beside the Father.
Beloved, God's word affirms that God 'hath raised us up together, and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.'
In Christ, you're not positioned as a miserable beggar but as a prosperous inheritor boldly asking from his loving, bounteous and beneficent Father what He has already reserved just for you.
When you are asking for the resources of heaven, you are not doing so on the basis of your personal merit but on basis of what Christ had paid fully for on your behalf. And the Father in heaven had given all heaven's and earth's authority to Jesus.
This is your heritage in Christ. Ask, as Christ had commanded you. And as your heavenly Father will not deny Christ, He will never deny you too in Jesus's name!' (Matthew 7:7-11, 28:18, John 14:13-14, Ephesians 2:6, Romans 8:16-17, 31-34, 1 Peter 1:3-5, 2 Peter 1:3-4, Hebrews 4:16, 1 John 5:14-15).
