How To Utilize Social Media

I made a post as always and asked fashion designers what they’ll love to learn this week.

As usual I got more sew mates request on Hip padding and Corset… Asides having loads of free tutorials on the above stated topics, I also have paid classes.

Only one response Got my attention… This particular designer said she wants to Learn 👇 “Business of Fashion and Utilizing social media to enhance fashion business”

This topic is broad but I’ll drop some points that can help you.

Social media is an added advantage to your fashion business and I call it The “Visual department “ this is because we get to see your business and have feel / perception of what you do.

We also buy from you and refer potential buyers or clients to your business.

But if you don’t put yourself out here on social media, we will not see you or your business.

How to Be seen on social media
1. Take it as a store that you need to open and close daily.

2. Look for the right community that represents what your brand is all about, You can learn from others, share with others and also contribute on the platform.

3. Make Reasonable comments on comment sections if you must contribute. Avoid controversial post.

4. Make sure your timeline has more pictures and videos of your work.

5. Show up, keep implementing and looking for new ways to improve your self and business, follow people in your field that can also inspire you.

6. Don’t rush to do sponsored ads when your business page or personal page doesn’t have anything to show what you do.
