Oya Chioma, folake, Ruby. You guys should come close and let me ask you this question. Do you still use detergent to wash your Ankara fabrics?
About a year ago someone was telling me she doesn't like buying Ankara fabrics because it quickly fades. Well...... There isn't any fabric that doesn't have its maintenance strategy. For an African print to last you years, make sure not to wash with detergent or even those very harsh bar soaps.
Then these prints do not like harsh sunlight, make sure the sun isn't too much when you spread your Ankara
For some of us that leave our Ankara on the wire from morning till we get back from work at night, ehn it's all shades of wrong now 😂😂😂😂
Make sure you wash your Ankara prints when you're home such that when the scorching sun is out you take them inside.

You see this pins here ehn do not underestimate it's power. Whether you're just learning how to sew or you're so good at it these pins should always be available in your sewing hub. For me I use to hold my fabric to my fusing gum before ironing it out. In some cases I use it to hold my trimmings or appliques to an outfit to see what picture to get before I finally hand tack or glue to my outfit.
The main reason why I prefer these to the regular office pin is because you would hardly forget it in a dress because of the colorful head it has, you know many times we as designers would forget to remove those tiny pins from a dress.
