One of the biggest myths about footwear is that the heavier the shoe, the better the quality. But weight alone doesn't determine durability.
The quality of the materials, construction method, stitching, sole attachment and overall craftsmanship all play important roles.
And yes, BooBae footwear can feel surprisingly light. That doesn't mean we've compromised on quality. In fact, creating footwear that is comfortable enough to wear for hours without feeling unnecessarily heavy is part of what we aim for. A well-made shoe doesn't need to feel like you're carrying a block of cement on your feet.
So the next time you pick up a lightweight shoe, don't judge its quality by weight alone.
