Happy New Month, everyone ✨

As we step into a new month, I am excited for fresh opportunities to serve you through my craft — from custom pieces to the alterations that keep your favourite clothes looking their best. This season has taught me that growth doesn’t always come from the big projects; sometimes it comes from the consistent, everyday work that builds trust and keeps a business alive.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my sewing journey — whether you brought an outfit for adjustments, trusted me with a custom piece, or simply encouraged me along the way. Every stitch, every fitting, every referral has helped me rebuild and expand my brand in ways I never imagined.

Me & Alterations: A Love I Never Expected

Tailors will tell you — alterations are one of the hardest things to love. And if you knew me, you would know I was no different. I never liked doing alterations. I was a designer. I wanted to create pieces from scratch, bring visions to life, and watch fabric transform under my hands. Alterations felt like a distraction from the art.
But life has a way of humbling you and teaching you at the same time.

Moving to Canada changed my relationship with sewing in ways I didn’t expect. Here, alterations became more than just “fixing clothes.” They became a doorway — a way to meet people, understand their stories, and build trust one stitch at a time. And honestly… they have been a blessing. Alterations have paid bills, opened doors, and kept my craft alive while I rebuild my business from the ground up.

I have learned that sometimes the thing you once avoided becomes the thing God uses to sustain you.
Now when someone brings me a dress to adjust, a zipper to replace, or a hem to fix, I don’t see it as small work. I see it as a connection. I see it as a provision. I see it as part of the journey — the behind‑the‑scenes reality of being a designer in a new country.So yes, I still love creating full pieces. That will always be my heart. But I have grown to appreciate alterations in a way I never did before. They remind me that every skill has value, and sometimes the unexpected path is the one that keeps you moving forward.

If you are in a season where you are doing something you never imagined you would rely on — don’t despise it. Sometimes the “small” work is part of the bigger story God is writing.
