A few weeks ago, a customer bought some gorgeous thrift clothes for her kids from my collection. She called a few days later, saying, “These clothes are so unique and beautiful; I want them to last forever!”
That got me thinking about how to help everyone get the best out of their thrift treasures and children’s clothing.
Thrift clothes aren’t just affordable—they’re stylish, durable, and full of character. But like everything precious, they need proper care to keep looking their best. Let me share some tips to protect your investment and keep your family’s wardrobe glowing.
1. Thrift clothes have proven their strength by standing the test of time. With a little love, they’ll stay fabulous for even longer.
Care Tip: Always soak your thrift items in mild detergent for a short while before washing. This removes any lingering dust or stains without stressing the fabric.
2. Children’s Clothes Are Built for Comfort, Not Stress
Why They Need Gentle Care: Kids play, explore, and have fun—so their clothes go through a lot! Proper washing ensures these outfits keep up with their adventures.
Care Tip: Wash with mild detergents and use lukewarm water for soft fabrics. Avoid over-scrubbing to keep prints and designs intact.
